As the colder weather starts to come in we often find clients don’t want to have their carpets cleaned. Perhaps it is because family comes to visit, or attention is focused on the holidays. But winter (December- March) is a great time to clean carpets and upholstery, and here is why:
- As you spend more time indoors dust and allergen pollutants build up in the carpet fibers, negatively effecting the air quality. While regular vacuuming definitely helps the best and most thorough solution is a professional cleaning.
- Most everyone is concerned about dry time of the carpets. On average dry time is between 8-10 hours. However in the winter months the air is less humid and thus contributes to quicker drying.
- No doubt after the holidays your carpets are showing some wear or soil, some may have the tendency to wait until spring cleaning to do anything about it. Reasoning it can’t get any worse. However the longer you leave soil in the carpet fiber the more it will build up and track in to other areas.
- Lastly another great reason to have your carpets cleaned December-March is that it is usually pretty easy to schedule the exact appointment you desire.
